Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using SaccoRa. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use SaccoRa.
Section 01
Definitions
In these Terms of Service:
- "SaccoRa", "we", "us" or "our" refers to the SaccoRa platform and its operators
- "Platform" refers to the SaccoRa web application at app.saccoraapp.com, the mobile app, and all related services
- "SACCO" refers to a Savings and Credit Cooperative Organisation registered on the platform
- "Operator" refers to the person or organisation that registers and manages a SACCO account on SaccoRa
- "Staff" refers to employees or authorised users of a SACCO who access the staff portal
- "Member" refers to an individual SACCO member who accesses the member portal or mobile app
- "Content" refers to all data, information, and records entered into the platform
Section 02
Account Registration
To use SaccoRa, your SACCO must register for an account. By registering, you confirm that:
- You are authorised to register the SACCO and enter into these Terms on its behalf
- The information provided during registration is accurate and complete
- Your SACCO is a legally recognised organisation operating in Uganda or East Africa
- You will keep your account credentials secure and not share them with unauthorised persons
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@saccoraapp.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
Free Trial: New SACCOs receive a free trial period to evaluate the platform. No payment information is required to start a trial.
Section 03
Our Services
SaccoRa provides a cloud-based SACCO management platform that includes:
- Member registration and profile management
- Savings account management and transaction recording
- Loan application, approval, disbursement and repayment tracking
- Financial reporting, statements and data exports
- Staff management and role-based access control
- Member mobile app for account access and notifications
- Payroll management for SACCO staff
- Treasury and cash position tracking
โ Important: SaccoRa is a management and record-keeping tool. We do not hold, process, or transfer any actual funds on behalf of your SACCO. All financial transactions are recorded and managed by your SACCO directly.
Section 04
Subscriptions & Billing
SaccoRa operates on a subscription basis. After your free trial, continued use requires an active paid subscription.
Starter
Small SACCOs up to 200 members
Growth
Growing SACCOs up to 500 members
Enterprise
Large SACCOs, unlimited members
- Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually as agreed
- All fees are in Uganda Shillings (UGX) unless otherwise stated
- Payments are due by the stated due date on your invoice
- Late payment may result in temporary suspension of your account
- Refunds are not provided for partial months or unused features
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days written notice

Section 05
Acceptable Use
You agree to use SaccoRa only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the platform to record fraudulent, fictitious, or misleading financial transactions
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other SACCO accounts or our systems
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or any harmful content
- Use the platform to facilitate money laundering, fraud, or any illegal financial activity
- Reverse engineer, copy, or create derivative works of the SaccoRa platform
- Share your account credentials with unauthorised persons
- Use automated scripts or bots to access the platform without our permission
- Resell or sublicense access to the platform without written consent
Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension and legal action where warranted.
Section 06
Data & Privacy
Your use of SaccoRa is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
- Your data belongs to you: All SACCO and member data you enter into SaccoRa remains your property
- Data export: You can export all your data at any time using the Data Backup feature
- Data security: We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data
- Data on termination: Upon account termination, you have 30 days to export your data before it is deleted
Your responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring that all personal data of SACCO members entered into the platform has been collected lawfully and with appropriate consent under Ugandan data protection laws.
Section 07
Limitation of Liability
SaccoRa is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the platform
- We are not liable for any financial losses, data loss, or damages arising from your use of the platform
- We are not responsible for decisions made by your SACCO based on data or reports generated by the platform
- Our total liability to you shall not exceed the subscription fees paid in the 3 months preceding the claim
โ Financial decisions: SaccoRa provides tools for record-keeping and management. All financial decisions โ including loan approvals, interest rates, and member transactions โ are made solely by your SACCO and its authorised staff. We are not responsible for any financial or operational decisions made using our platform.
Section 08
Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement:
- By you: You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us. Your account will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
- By us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, fail to pay subscription fees, or if we reasonably believe your account is being used for illegal purposes.
On termination:
- You will lose access to the platform and all its features
- You have 30 days to download your data before it is permanently deleted
- Accrued subscription fees remain due and payable
Section 09
Disputes & Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of SaccoRa shall be resolved as follows:
- First: Contact us at support@saccoraapp.com to resolve the matter informally. We will respond within 14 business days.
- If unresolved: Disputes shall be submitted to mediation under the rules of the Uganda Mediation Centre.
- If still unresolved: Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.
Section 10
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- Notify SACCO administrators via email at least 14 days before changes take effect
- Display a notice in the SaccoRa staff portal
Continued use of SaccoRa after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the platform.
